Creating a SAORI Warp (using the new, faster SAORI method!)
Friday 19th May
11am – 5pm
Dyeing To Weave studio, Clunes
Develop your SAORI weaving skills further and learn how to make your own beautiful warps using Kenzo’s faster SAORI method of warping, winding and threading in this intensive 1-day workshop. Discover what yarns work best, how to use the equipment and enjoy a day in the studio creating your own gorgeous warp to take home. There will also be the opportunity to try the SAORI Tabletop Beamer and Threader, allowing you to wind and thread your warps from the comfort of a table!
Class participants will also be entitled to a fantastic discount on warping equipment to take home to create beautiful warps at home. Some SAORI weaving experience is a prerequisite for this class.
Cost: $180 includes materials. BYO lunch, refreshments provided.

Make a SAORI Scarf
Saturday 8th September

Dyeing To Weave studio, Clunes
Immerse yourself in the beautiful freestyle creativity of Japanese SAORI weaving as you create a gorgeous, unique scarf to take home! In this 4-hour session you will learn a range of SAORI weaving techniques, understand the philosophy and history of SAORI and enjoy a longer time at the loom to experiment with colour, yarns, technique and textured creativity.
No previous weaving experience is required. The looms are already threaded up and ready to weave and all equipment and materials are provided. All you need to do is bring along your enthusiasm for this easy, freestyle creativity! Ages 12+
Cost: $100 plus materials (charged at 20c/gm at the end of the workshop)
